Kipsy 420 is the inaugural retail marijuana store to open in the Capital Region. Owned and managed by three entrepreneurs with experience in real estate, construction and retail businesses.
POUGHKEEPSIE — Poughkeepsie’s Neighborhood Recovery Unit conducted raids against two illegal marijuana stores on Tuesday and seized a significant quantity of weed, at 13 Academy Street and 196 Main Street respectively. City officials state that both businesses caused traffic issues by double parking cars outside their respective locations before running in to purchase cannabis or any number of edible forms advertised on white boards in storefront windows.
These raids took place after an employee of Kipsy 420 physically assaulted a parking enforcement officer near its store on November 27. Following this incident, it closed but later reopened later that evening.
