Jenna Bush Hager is in her car with Mia Baxter, 26, her best friend and co-author for Ana’s Story (an interactive young-adult nonfiction written and photographed by Jenna), discussing their latest project together. They reveal the depth of their 10-year friendship while showing readers something of Jenna they rarely see: her compassion towards others.
Jenna recently appeared on Hoda Kotb’s Today third hour to promote Mila, her 9-year-old daughter who speaks her mind openly and unfiltered. Jenna discussed Mila’s passion for reading and her aspiration to one day become a writer herself.
MIA students complete their second-year of study by participating in a 3-credit-hour capstone seminar where they work as part of a team on an issue that interests a client–typically government agencies or non-profits–replacing the traditional thesis of their degree program. It consists of five core courses (15 credit hours) and two concentrations (12 credit hours); however, students may use free electives to create additional concentrations.
