Helenchristensen was featured in a 1996 article written by Frank DeCaro for The New York Times as one of “Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson and Claudia Schiffer–supermodel legends known only by their initials among legions of fans”.

She serves as an international brand ambassador for UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency. With her creative abilities she has traveled to Jordan’s Azraq camp and documented refugee stories that she shares on social media platforms such as Instagram. Additionally, she is an accomplished photographer and recently launched a clothing line with friend Leif Sigersen.

She is actively engaged in raising money for breast cancer organizations through the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign and working with Oxfam – traveling to Peru where her mother hails from to document climate change effects on local farmers.

Helenchristensen loves spending time with her family outside of work. She has three children – Kerry Strike from Billings, Amy (Mark Stiffler) Christensen from Helena and Molly Croft from Fleming Island in Florida – plus eight grandchildren: Spencer, Will and Kate Strike; Abby Ellie Jane Stiffler Ryan Molly Christensen Cole Max Christensen and three more!

Swimming, yoga and boxing classes keep her active, as does her diet of eating mostly vegetables and fruit while drinking plenty of water – she is vegetarian so avoids red meat and dairy while occasionally enjoying fish meals! She enjoys cooking as well, often cooking meals for friends and family members.
